In normal schools, deaf students often make or become different. They are frequently treated as second-class students that are positioned in special education classes. Deaf students are often treated as students with lower-standard intelligences. The different treatment is not reasonable. The problem is a disability to communicate verbally, not due to the disability to learn.
In normal schools, deaf students also tend to be persecuted as they make easy victims. Therefore, for a better education for deaf children, their parents should attempt to find deaf schools.
The allowances for deafness are given by deaf schools. Deaf schools have specific programs which enable a deaf student to better fit in. Of course, the programs include some kinds of speech and language therapy. By learning speech a deaf student will be able to communicate with other people.
In deaf schools, deaf students build and develop their self confidence as well. They can overcome situations that normally require some abilities of hearing without forcing the situations to adapt to them.
By uniting the social competences with the ability to adapt situations which would seem to unable deaf students to go forward, they have the self confidence to communicate with other people in any situation.
Deaf children need specific deaf schools for their better development. However, it should not be concluded that they are relegated to deaf schools because they have lower-standard intelligences.
Nevertheless, there are some exceptions for that, but compared with regular schools, deaf schools can better deal with the disadvantages of deaf students and enable them to develop and to be the excellent.
