Learning to sign means that you learn how to say words using your hands. So, learning to sign is very simple. But, what is the best way to learn it? The answer is by learning sign language in one word at a time.

In learning to sign, firstly you should learn finger spelling. It is able to help you when you do not know it all, even though you should not finger every word in a common communication with sign language.

Finger spelling will be a better method to share ideas and thoughts in which a sign may not ready to be used. Actually, some persons have known signing well by using the alphabet. It’s also an indispensable resource when they are learning to sign altogether.

Secondly, you need to learn the basic signs for words. Actually, many people are easy to have dealing with the word and most words have their particular signs. For example the word think, to say the word ‘think’ in sign language, your finger will make a small circle on your forehead.

If we have known basic words well, we need learning to communicate them effectively. Anyway, we should not sign every word in the sentence to communicate our ideas.

However, we should firstly choose the main ideas of the sentence and then sign them to get our message across. Of course we need some practice and we begin signing correctly is the best method to practice it.

Most people who communicate with sign language are so happy that we are taking the initiative to learn, even though it may seem an overwhelming work for the beginner.
